Background

Jeffery Niccum, C.P.A., M.B.A. has been a licensed CPA since 1989 and completed work on his M.B.A. in 1994.

In the years prior to passing the C.P.A. exam, Jeff was involved in both the residential and commercial construction industries. He has spent time as a residential home builder, commercial superintendent, project manager, and general contractor.  He has managed or built four commercial projects and eight single-family dwellings.

From 1980 to 1983 and from 1987 to 1992, he was employed as a corporate controller for 2 companies in the construction industry.  This experience gives Jeff the unique aspect of knowing how to design and implement accounting and administrative systems from within a private industry company.

Jeff left the private industry and started his own accounting practice in 1992, which became a licensed CPA firm in 1994. After 15 years of public accounting, he sold out in 2007 and was then employed by the buyer as a tax manager and senior accountant at a public CPA firm for two years through 2008.

In 2009, he returned to public accounting as the 100% stockholder and president, starting Suncrest C.P.A. Services, P.S., which then changed its name to North Spokane C.P.A. Services, P.S.  After a move to the Bozeman MT area, the same Company is now Amsterdam C.P.A. Services, PS

With a Master’s degree in Business (MBA) coupled with private industry experience, Jeff brings to the table a unique combination of construction, private industry, and public accounting experience rarely found with the stereotypical C.P.A.

Additionally, Jeff has served as an expert witness in the litigation arena and has advocated for both buyer and seller in over a dozen business purchase and sale transactions.  Another specialization is  I.R.S. representation.  He has successfully represented scores of clients in cases involving offers in compromise, audits (field, office, and correspondence), appeals, and installment agreements.

Jeff also was employed for seven years as an accounting instructor at Spokane Falls Community College – retiring in June of 2017.

We look forward to working with you!
